タナー・スコットは2025年10月上旬に下半身の膿瘍（のうよう）除去手術を緊急で受けた。

どうやら膿瘍があったのは尻の付近らしく、タナー・スコットが尻の手術をすると聞いたRedditユーザーが『あいつのニックネームはこれからBBLスコットだな』と言い出し、昨年はポンコツ中継ぎ投手だったのに今年に入ってから謎の復活を遂げたせいで『生まれ変わったタナスコ』という意味で使われるようになった
