Budget-Ocelots I think the Angels deserved some credit for helping Ohtani as well. We can clown them for letting him go for nothing and not winning with Trout, but they were the only team that allowed him to develop into a 2WP instead of shelling him when he got injured in 2019. Angels might have wasted 6 years of playoff chance, but Ohtani got 3 years with them to develop into the best player of this game.
