しかし高額なチケットを購入したのにお目当てのスター選手のプレーが見られないとファンから不満が続出、スポンサーや放送局からも不満が出たためNBAはファンの満足度低下や放送権料への悪影響を防ぐために2023-24シーズンからスター選手の不必要な欠場を制限する新規定を導入。

結局怪我人が多発し続け2024-2025年シーズンのNBAではスター選手の怪我と欠場数が前年比で大幅に増加した

Why would they want that to change? Players love the short contracts with high annual salary and opt outs. The people who are mad are the fans of the teams that aren't willing to pay for talent.
