Gjallarhorn15 My only concerned about how they handle pacing. A big part of Frieren is the slow passage of time and quiet, idle moments where the cast or reader is just taking in the atmosphere and just sit with the fleeting nature of things. Curious to see how the anime attempts to adapt that.

aes110 Interesting, I'm definitely excited since I love the manga, but I really don't see why they would choose that. I get it with ONK, but Frieren doesn't need a movie opening. Infact in a form of a single episode the first one would probably be a masterpiece.

『フリーレン』の登場人物の大半がほぼ常に完全に無表情だし、時間経過を数コマで一気に描いたりするなど他の作品とはノリが違う。飽きたりキャラクターに感情移入できないと感じたりする人が出てくるかもしれない。

私としてはストーリーは良いしこの漫画をとても楽しんだけど、一部の人が考えているような大ヒットにはならないと思う。展開は遅いし全体的にアクションに焦点を当ていない。この作品は好きな人にはとんでもなく刺さるけど皆が皆好きになるとは思えない、漫画じゃ強敵との戦いが文字通り半ページで終わったりする。

「XXXはあの種族の中で最も強い、行くぞ！」 ⇒ 3コマ後 ⇒ 「やったー！」みたいなのが本当にあるし」

Mountain_Pathfinder 「公開された予告編やOPを見る限りアクション面はマンガ版よりも強化するつもりだとは思うけどね。そしてもしそうならかなり良いものになってくれる気がする。

フリーレンは他の少年漫画のようにアクションが多いわけではないけど戦闘には常に戦略があり戦術がある。アニメのアクションは『呪術廻戦』や『鬼滅の刃』みたいな方面に進化し続けていてるけど違った方向性を見せてくれるかもしれない。まぁフリーレンのそれはノリがだいぶ違うから大変だろうけど。

いずれにせよ、楽観視はしないけど割と期待はできるんじゃないかな？」



27eggs Reddit has a very weird gauge on this show because the manga is so popular on reddit. It is this huge seller in Japan (and I think France?), it clearly has some following online, but it is not well known outside a handful of spaces. There is practically no one talking about it on twitter or tik tok.
(Reddtiの意見は妙にバイアスがかかっているというか、Reddit内ではフリーレンは大人気だから好意的な意見が多すぎると思う。実際日本でも（たぶんフランスでも）人気だけど、例えばTwitterやTiktokなんかじゃ全く騒がれていない)

I think the story is just hard to sell until you experience it, and everyone is going to experience it a little differently depending on how they view death.I think it has the potential to be huge, but I don't see it just automatically being the smash hit people think it will be.
(この作品のストーリーは実際に体験しないと理解しづらく知らない人にアピールすることが難しいと思う、さらに死をどう見るかによって人それぞれで体験が少しずつ異なるはずだ。もちろん大ヒットになる可能性は秘めていると思うけど皆が思うほど簡単に大ヒットになるとは思えないかなぁ)
